Girls into Golf

Girls into Golf (GIG)
is now in it's 16th successful year.  Where women of all ages can learn the game in a relaxed, female-friendly atmosphere under the close eyes of PGA Golfing Professional, Di Pavich and Georgina Weingarth who is a fully accredited Community Golf Instructor with PGA & Golf Australia (Nov 2023) plus has her certificate in Community Coaching - Essentials Skills, issued by the Australian Sports Commission.

Whether just starting out or returning to the game after an absence, the program provides a pathway for women to learn the game of golf and be confident to play socially or advance to joining a club, obtaining a handicap and competition play. Girls into Golf currently has a membership of over 315 women – and the numbers are climbing as like-minded women across the Sunshine Coast join the game.

Each fortnight we focus on the technical and tactical aspects of the long and short game, and learn etiquette and rules. Alternate weeks we’re on the course with the dedicated assistance of our friendly mentors.  For the newer golfers, we have now made available extra classes that will be run prior to the 'on course' sessions
